About this series: This will be a bit of a refresher from the 2015 series on Emotionally Healthy Spirituality and will be a good opportunity for those new to SCC to understand SCC’s view that healthy spirituality and emotional health are intimately intertwined. About this series: This series focuses on evangelism and discipleship, locally and globally. The basic goals are to:
- Give practical guidance on how to share our faith in contemporary ways. I’d like to also have specific ways for people to invite friends to worship service, or to some sort of small group
- Put global mission in perspective (going, supporting, consider the concept of short term “mission?”)
- Focus on what happens after conversion, i.e., true discipleship
Series Date: Winter 2016
About this series: Moving toward Christmas, we’re going to spend our teaching time looking back at the Old Testament prophecies of a Messiah, a king on earth that would flip the script, upset the status quo, and bring about God’s reign. Be ready in this season to look back in order to move forward as we accept this pure and holy gift from God, through his son, the Christ.
Series Date: 2016 Fall
About this series: Construction began on Sanctuary’s new Ministry Center in the Fall of 2016, and this series looks at our future home owner status and asks a simple question of what does it mean for us to show radical hospitality to our northside neighbors.
Series Date: 2016 Fall
About this series: Throughout this series, we will refocus around the object of our worship, and understand that worship is a lifestyle, not just a Sunday event. But, when we do worship corporately, we should have a biblical mindset about it. And, finally, we’ll sketch out what worship can be within our Sanctuary community as we reflect our unique cultural expressions toward our ever-loving God.
Series Date: 2016 - Spring/Summer
About this series: Throughout this series, we’ll journey through the entire book of Ephesians, one of the most theologically and practically rich books of the New Testament.
