Jennifer was born in St. Paul and enjoyed her childhood years on her family’s farm in Cokato. They returned to the Twin Cities when her father attended Bethel Seminary, and eventually they moved to Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois as he pastored churches. From a young age Jennifer had a deep love for Jesus, studying Scripture, and the work of ministry. Even as a child she had a strong sense she would one day serve in an official capacity in the church.
After receiving her BA in Religious Studies and Sociology at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, Jennifer moved to Massachusetts. There she attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary for her Master of Religion. After serving in churches in Indiana and Georgia, she is grateful to be back in her home state serving at Sanctuary.
Jennifer is an introvert who also loves connecting with people in deep and meaningful ways. Her favorites include coffee, reading, finding new places to hike, and running and walking with her rescue dog Koda.
