As Formation Pastor, Rev. Dr. Rose Lee-Norman oversees the discipleship pathways that encourage people to grow in a deeper journey with Jesus. She has served in various roles at Sanctuary since 2010 and has served in urban, multiethnic churches for almost 15 years, including Chicago, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis. She is married to Ryan and they have two beloved daughters. Together they live in North Minneapolis. In 2021, she earned her Doctor of Ministry in Transformational Leadership from Boston University’s School of Theology. Her work focuses on race and power in multiethnic churches called White Followership, which is a construct and pathway for white congregants as they thoughtfully consider and invert their power so that other cultural expressions of leadership can flourish.

Random fact: As a child, Pastor Rose had aspirations of being a voice-over in Disney kids movies. To prepare, she would take her Walkman cassette player wherever she went, belting out Disney classics. She was convinced her talent would be discovered…because why wouldn’t Hollywood agents scout talent in small-town Minnesota?!
