Rev. Dr. William Seth Martin serves as a member of the preaching and teaching team and formation director. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism with a minor in leadership from Hampton Universi- ty, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry from the United Theological Seminary; where his dissertation focused on Spirit-filled preaching on justice and reconciliation in a diverse context following social unrest.
Prior to his current assignment, Pastor Seth previously served as the Lead Pastor of The Brook Community Church in Minneapolis , Director of Ministries at the Victory Cathedral Worship Center in Chicago, IL, and the Youth and Young Adult Pastor at the New Hope Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas, Second Calvary Baptist Church in Norfolk, VA, and the Head of the Chapel Assistants at the Hampton University Memorial Church in Hampton, VA, respectively.
Dr. Martin is the son of Pastor Kenneth Martin and Laura Martin and a native of Little Rock, AR. He was licensed to preach at his home church, Saint Mark Baptist Church, by Dr. Phillip Pointer in 2012. Above all, He is the proud husband of Hannah Monique Martin and father of three wonderful children, Zoe Elizabeth, Elena Simone, and William Seth Martin, Jr
